Attempting to install mysql cluster on RHEL7.1

Steven Jones
Hi,

When I run the auto-installer gui I get a no module named paramiko?

I have python-paramiko installed from EPEL but no joy.

Can I do or do I need to do a sym link?  if so to where?  ie where is the auto installer looking?

Hello Steven,

How did you install paramiko ? by yum installer or downloaded the zipped version. What is the version of cluster and paramiko ?

Will you please check all the requirements and libs are installed  : http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.6/en/mysql-cluster-install-auto-requirements.html

Re: Attempting to install mysql cluster on RHEL7.1

Hi,

From EPEL,  python-paramiko-1.15.1-1.el7.noarch

MySQL-Cluster-server-gpl-7.4.4-1.el7.x84_64.rpm

I also had to remove the mariadb-lib in rhel7.1 as that is compatible with the above.

So I suggest your dependency page at,

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.6/en/mysql-cluster-install-auto-requirements.html

also lists specific mariadb-libs

I am using the one out of the mysql community repo now

Supposedly some other program is using port 8081 on that computer.

Suggest starting from a normal account not being root.

error while running mysql auto install script

Steven Jones

"cannot locate ndb_mgmd in /usr/local/bin/['bin', 'sbin', 'scripts', ", '../scripts'] on host 10.100.32.62"

62 is the second sql server/management node.

Just realized it's possible to give different args to ndb_setup.py - see
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.6/en/mysql-cluster-programs-ndb-setup-py.html
- it's even possible to choose which port will be used.

You have to unpack the cluster tar ball or install the MySQL Cluster
binaries also on the remote hosts.

The install location may be specified on the "Define hosts" page -
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.6/en/mysql-cluster-install-auto-using.html#mysql-cluster-install-auto-using-define-hosts

Re: error while running mysql auto install script

Hi,
Please check , all the mysql directories is having proper access rights.
All the directories and files should be mysql:mysql user and group, and
should be 755 access .

You can run the installer both from root and mysql user, but the
permission should be as mentioned above.

Please check whether the ports used by other programs.

Re: error while running mysql auto install script

Steven Jones
In reply to this post by Magnus Blåudd

Hi,

Which binaries?  I followed the install doc and it said only install the server rpm on all 4, which I did.

As it turns out using find the rpm installs in /usr/sbin so after doing a find I manually told the auto script where, that worked, however.

I now get to,

=========
Cannot locate ndbmtd in /usr/sbin/[‘bin’, ‘sbin’, ‘scripts’, ”, ‘../scripts’] on host 10.100.32.71
==========

10.100.32.61 and 62 are the front ends and 71 and 72 are the data nodes.

Ok, so it was mentioned somewhere, I thought that part had been left out.

Too bad that path wasn't found by default. Where did it look originally?

Did you try to locate the ndbmtd binary on that host? And setup the path
like on the other hosts?
