[Filtered] Clarification Required

Syed Shahanavaz

Dear All,

On executing ndb_mgm> show, we used to see < id=1    @10.20.79.5  (mysql-5.5.34 ndb-7.2.14, Nodegroup: 0, Master)>, but below log shows ‘*’ instead of Master.

Please help me to understand the difference.

ndb_mgm> show

Cluster Configuration

---------------------

[ndbd(NDB)]     2 node(s)

id=1    @10.20.179.5  (mysql-5.5.34 ndb-7.2.14, Nodegroup: 0, *)

id=2    @10.20.179.5  (mysql-5.5.34 ndb-7.2.14, Nodegroup: 0)

[ndb_mgmd(MGM)] 1 node(s)

id=49   @10.20.179.3  (mysql-5.5.34 ndb-7.2.14)

[mysqld(API)]   22 node(s)

id=51 (not connected, accepting connect from 10.20.179.3)

Best Regards,

the output from "ndb_mgm> SHOW" was slightly changed in 7.2.14 as part
of "Bug#24880 Removing or replacing the 'Master'-word from SHOW output"

The word Master was deemed to be to easily confused with replication
terminology and was replaced with *.
